Shades of Excellence
The Shades of Excellence Annual Scholarship Giveaway is a scholarship program dedicated to supporting students who exemplify academic excellence, leadership, and community impact. This year, we’re proud to partner with the Southern University Law Center Women in Law Organization to further our mission of empowerment and inclusivity. Together, we’re providing financial assistance to help the next generation of changemakers pursue their educational and professional goals.
Eligibility
Applicants must meet all the following criteria.
- A Black or African American female, 1L student in good standing
- Enrolled at Southern University Law Center
- Currently hold a 2.0 GPA or higher
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident

How to Apply
- Follow SOROR Cosmetics @sororbysatasha and Women in Law at Southern University Law Center @sulcwomeninlaw on Instagram.
- Complete the standard Foundation online application.
- Create a 1-2 minute video describing the following: (1) As a Black woman in the legal field what does self-care mean to you? (2) How do you incorporate self-care into your routine? (3) Who is an individual in the legal field who has inspired you in your pursuit of excellence? Be creative!
- Use the hashtags #SororbySatasha and #SULCWomeninLaw in your post. Tag @sororbysatasha and @sulcwomeninlaw as a collaborator.
